POSITION SCOPE:

 

Under the direction of the District Pharmacy Manager, is responsible for providing safe, effective, and efficient pharmacy services within the inter-collaborative team environment.    This will include clinical responsibilities for things such as identification of actual or potential medication therapy issues, medication reconciliation, communication with the various team members (including the patients, families, physicians, nurses, etc.) to optimize safe and appropriate medication use. Although located in Digby, there may be some District responsibilities. Travel within the District may be required and will be paid as per District policy.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

·         Candidates must be a graduate of a degree program in Pharmacy.

·         Must be licensed to practice as a pharmacist in Nova Scotia.

·         Experience in a hospital pharmacy providing clinical consultative service is preferred.

·         Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, while effectively planning, organizing, supervising and communicating both verbally, writing and electronically.

·         Must be adaptable and flexible to adjust to the changing needs of the service and the program/facility/ District.
