Long term care residents can receive visitors as if they are in their own home. Check with the nursing staff for confirmation. Family and friends may bring food to a patient but should confirm with nursing staff that it does not conflict with any food restrictions.
Semi-private and Private Rooms in Nova Scotia Hospitals
Space in our private and semi-private rooms is limited. The sooner we have your insurance information the more likely we are to be able to accommodate your request.
When the booking clerk calls with your hospital admission date, let them know you are interested in a private or semi-private room.

TV and phone service can be arranged for long term care residents. Please ask the nursing staff for assistance in making these arrangements.
Meals are prepared and served onsite for long term care residents.
Spiritual Spaces and Quiet Rooms
There is a family room located in the long term care wing.
South Cumberland Community Care Centre is located in Parrsboro, Nova Scotia. It provides long term services and emergency care.
