Nova Scotians in need of tissue transplants now have much quicker access to care, thanks to a unique collaboration between Nova Scotia Health Authority’s (NSHA) Regional Tissue Bank (RTB) and the Nova Scotia Medical Examiner Service (NSMES). That’s because a dedicated tissue recovery suite is located inside the medical examiner’s office – the first partnership of its kind in Canada.
The emergency department at the Glace Bay Hospital will be closed on Tuesday, Oct. 16. It will also be closed on Wednesday, Oct. 17 at 4 p.m. until Thursday, Oct. 18 at 7 a.m. and Thursday, Oct. 18 at 4 p.m. until Tuesday, Oct. 23 at 7 a.m.
The emergency department at the Northside General Hospital in North Sydney will be closed Friday, Oct. 12; Saturday, Oct. 13; Sunday, Oct. 14; Monday, Oct. 15 and Tuesday, Oct. 16. It reopens on Wednesday, Oct. 17 at 8 a.m.
The emergency department at the New Waterford Consolidated Hospital will be close on Friday, Oct. 12 at 12 p.m. It will also be closed on Saturday, Oct. 13. The department reopens on Tuesday, Oct. 16 at 7 a.m.
