The emergency department at Musquodoboit Valley Memorial Hospital's collaborative emergency centre (CEC) will be closed from 8 a.m. though 8 p.m. on Monday, April 9, due to lack of physician coverage. Please note that the CEC's emergency department is regularly scheduled to close overnight from 8 p.m. through 8 a.m. That means the emergency department will not open until 8 a.m. on Tuesday, April 10.
Eastern Shore Memorial Hospital's emergency department will be closed on Monday, April 9, at 8 a.m. until 8 a.m. on April 10. This closure is due to the unavailability of a physician to cover the shift.
The Emergency Department at the Glace Bay Hospital will be closed on Sunday, Apr. 8 at 3 p.m. It reopens on Monday, Apr. 9 at 7 a.m. The department will also be closed on Tuesday, Apr. 10 at 3 p.m.; reopening on Wednesday, Apr. 11 at 7 a.m. It will also be closed on Wednesday, Apr. 11 at 3 p.m.; reopening on Thursday, Apr. 12 at 7 a.m.
Visitor restrictions are lifted on Unit 5E, an acute care medical unit at Northside General Hospital in North Sydney. The restrictions were put in place in March to help limit the spread of respiratory illness among patients on the 15-bed unit.
