Establishing a Baseline: Active Transportation & Health Indicators in the Halifax Region explores how active transportation, which refers to any form of human-powered transportation including walking and cycling, has improved physical and mental health at a relatively low cost in the Halifax region, in addition to positive environmental impacts.
The radiology department at Queens General Hospital (QGH) has been renovated to allow for the installation of new state-of-the-art digital x-ray machine, providing exceptional care for patients, while producing better image quality. Visitor restrictions are in place on Unit 2West, an acute care unit at Northside General Hospital in North Sydney. The restrictions are in place to help limit the spread of a gastrointestinal illness among patients on the 15-bed unit.
