The MRI installation schedule at Cape Breton Regional Hospital has been extended following an unexpected issue when transitioning the new magnet to its permanent installation. This means that the current machine must be removed and replaced with a new unit. The new replacement unit is scheduled to be delivered this Saturday, June 9.
The Emergency Department at the Glace Bay Hospital will be closed on Wednesday, June 6 at 4 p.m. It reopen on Thursday, June 7 at 7 a.m. It will also be closed on Thursday, June 7 at 4 p.m., reopening on Friday, June 8 at 7 a.m.
Please note that the emergency department at Musquodoboit Valley Memorial Hospital’s collaborative emergency centre (CEC) will be closed from 8 a.m. through 8 p.m. on Friday, June 1 due to a lack of physician coverage.
