Prevention is the Best Protection

Everyone in our South West Health community should do their part to help control the spread of any virus. The best way to protect your family and yourself is prevention. Please CLEAN, COVER & CONTAIN & COMMUNICATE:

CLEAN your hands with soap & water and/or sanitizer often. Clean and disinfect common surfaces and items such doorknobs, counters and keyboards

COVER your coughs and sneezes with your arm or tissue (and throw the tissue away)

CONTAIN your illness and stay home if you are sick. If you have severe illness, CALL 911. Do not visit friends or family in the hospital if you are sick.

COMMUNICATE and tell your doctor, nurse and/or health care provider if you have flu symptoms.

Call 811 for more info or visit Nova Scotia Health Promotion & Protection: www.gov.ns.ca/h1n1
